Step 1 of 5: Scan the original.

Step 2 of 5: Colour and contrast correction. Then,
Step 3 of 5: Enhancement & remove specks, dirt and flaws.

Step 4 of 5: Now remove a two people we don't want in the photo.
(This work of magic requires quite a bit of creative artwork, especially since one of the removed subjects was in the centre of the picture!)
